St. Louis, MO (June 24,2013) – Schaeffer Manufacturing Company is pleased to announce it has been selected as one of the top places to work in St. Louis. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and WorkplaceDynamics partnered together to compile the top workplaces, which is based solely on employee feedback.
Schaeffer was ranked #29 out of 45 companies listed in the small business category and was one of only three manufacturing companies to be listed. The Top Workplaces survey revealed that Schaeffer’s employees believe the company is going in the right direction and that it operates by strong values and ethics.

As one of the oldest firms in St. Louis and the oldest grease and oil company west of the Mississippi, Schaeffer indeed holds a special place in the St. Louis community. Founded in 1839, Schaeffer Manufacturing Company provided greases and oils for wagon trains and steamboats.
