St. Louis, MO (Sept. 5, 2013) – Schaeffer Manufacturing Co., a leading manufacturer of quality lubricants and fuel additives, recently began shipping product from its newest distribution point in Atlanta, GA.
“Schaeffer Atlanta will help us better serve our customers and sales reps in the Southeast,” said Doug Klein, traffic manager for Schaeffer. “A number of national and regional carriers service the Atlanta area, and we’ll be able to save up to 2 days in delivery time.”
Schaeffer partnered with Total Warehouse, Inc., a leading provider of distribution and warehousing, to oversee the operation. “Total Warehouse understand our business requirements and have been great to work with,” said Doug. “They’re highly experienced at what they do, and they offer plenty of warehouse space for us to expand.”
The Atlanta facility will be especially helpful in the coming months as Schaeffer plans to increase production through its new 60,000 square-foot manufacturing plant. Schaeffer Atlanta is the 8th major distribution location for the company.
Founded in 1839, Schaeffer Manufacturing Company provided greases and oils for wagon trains and steamboats. As times changed, Schaeffer developed many of the current concepts in lubrication, including advanced additives for performance, friction modifiers for fuel economy and synthetics for extended lubricant life.
