Matt Wauben is a 1988 graduate of Virginia Military Institute (VMI). Matt was in the Navy ROTC program and graduated from VMI with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Matt is married, has one child, and has been living in the Charleston SC area since 1990.

Matt worked as a defense contractor in support of SPAWAR Charleston for ten years. He also worked selling specialty products for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in North America for eight years before starting his own manufacturers' representative business, Pathfinder Industrial Products, and joining the Schaeffer Manufacturing Company as a sales rep in 2008. Since joining the Schaeffer team, he has continued his education by completing certification as a Schaeffer Ag Specialist and an STLE Certified Lubrication Specialist. The CLS certification recognizes individuals who possess current knowledge of lubrication fundamentals and best practices in lubrication maintenance in industrial settings.
